At ACCESS, we’re always looking to adapt to the needs of our community. In that spirit, we’ve updated our web presence to help visitors more quickly find the information they need most.
New Landing Pages
Depending on how a visitor interacts with ACCESS, they have five new entry points – and updated top navigation – to learn more about the program with quick links to key areas they’ll need to navigate to most often. Now, when visitors click on the “Get Started” button on the ACCESS homepage, they’ll be guided to landing pages according to the role they plan in the ACCESS community:
Each new landing page will have content and links pertaining to the specific interests of the visitor; those new to the program will find FAQs, while those already involved with ACCESS might use these pages as “home bases” each time they visit so they can get to the information they need quickly and easily.
This means, for example, grad students, along with the allocation opportunities that would be best for them, will also find opportunities for internships geared towards students, both graduate and undergraduate, links to experts who can help answer questions, stories that showcase how fellow graduate students are using their allocations and a trove of resources for getting started with research computing. Each landing page has the same type of information, just geared to specific interests.
New Navigation Options
In addition to landing pages, top navigation has been reworked to provide persistent access to content across the ACCESS web presence. New additions include Resources, linking to our Resource Catalog; Events & Trainings; News; About; and links to the landing pages.
As always, we welcome feedback from visitors to our site; there will be an opportunity to provide feedback during our annual community survey.
