ACCESS Presents at PEARC

This year, as a Gold Sponsor of PEARC25, ACCESS PIs and staff had an opportunity to present a half-day workshop to share what’s new with the program. To a full room, presenters covered a variety of topics geared to both newcomers and those looking for the latest offerings, including current tools, services and initiatives.

In case you weren’t able to attend, here are some key takeaways from the ACCESS workshop:

  • ACCESS On-Ramps are now deployed on 30 institution websites with more than 2700 unique users visiting ACCESS via these links. On-Ramps users include campus IT departments, HPC centers, programs/consortia, colleges and faculty pages. ACCESS can provide information to the host institutions about who is using On-Ramps to access the nation’s cyberinfrastructure.
  • ACCESS support tools can help researchers, educators and students find the right resources for their projects. For example, the ACCESS Resource Advisor (ARA) serves up a series of questions to help determine the top three resources to support a project, even if the answers to questions are “I don’t know.” With the ACCESS Software Documentation Service (SDS), users can see what ACCESS hardware resources support specific software (for example, simulation software). And the ACCESS Q&A tool is an AI-powered instrument designed to provide real-time, accurate answers about ACCESS resources, services and support. It’s monitored by staff members to ensure its efficacy.

Other workshop topics covered ACCESS’s Unsupervised Log Anomaly Detection, Current and Planned Infrastructure, and Experimenting with the Variable Marketplace. You can stay abreast of all ACCESS has to offer by subscribing to The ACCESS Advance newsletter.
